Overview

Fiat Dualogic is not one fluid capacity or one vehicle application; case, engine, ratio set, torque capacity, mechatronics and software variants must be separated.

Architecture class: AMT. Exact clutch pack, valve body, controller, fluid specification and fill procedure require code/label verification.

Do not decide on mechanical overhaul before checking engine torque management, system voltage, cooling and network communication.

Architecture and torque flow

• Transmission class: AMT
• Engine torque passes through a clutch, torque converter or power-split element to the ratio set.
• TCU monitors input/output speed and selected ratio.

Fluid, temperature and maintenance

• Generic ATF/MTF name or viscosity is insufficient; OEM approval is required.
• Level-check temperature and engine state vary by transmission code.
• Cooling and leaks directly affect fluid life.

Diagnostic sequence

• Resolve engine and low-voltage codes first.
• Save freeze frame, input/output speed, commanded gear and clutch slip.
• Separate electrical/solenoid faults from hydraulic pressure and mechanical slip.
• Do not reset adaptations blindly.

Post-repair verification

• Verify fluid level and leaks.
• Perform required basic settings/adaptation.
• Test safely in cold and hot conditions.
• Recheck pending DTCs, temperature and slip.
